I read Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days last weekend and was, I don’t wan’t to say disappointed, but surprised to find that there was no hot air balloon. I had never seen any adaptations of the novel (apart from a short Mickey Mouse version eons ago), but for some reason I was expecting travel via hot air balloon, but in the book it was merely mentioned as an impracticality in passing. Overall I enjoyed the book. I couldn’t help but notice parallels between the plot and characters of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World. I you haven’t read any Jules Verne, I would highly recommend trying him out.

Watching Monty Python while I should be studying primate dentition and locomotion patterns. I haven’t the faintest idea of how I ever get anything done.
